In 1997, the real train "Super Ozora" made its debut, connecting Sapporo and Kushiro. The train is made up of a steel front top with a high cab and a stainless steel body. The coolers are placed under the floor, giving the rooftop a flat and simple look, which is a unique feature of the train. It is equipped with a pendulum mechanism that allows the scale model to lean inside while passing through curves. Protectors have been added to the rooftop of the real train to prevent fallen icicles from sliding down and breaking the cab window when another top car with a high cab window is connected in the middle of the train. Stickers are included to replicate the head sign and full color LED destinations that were updated when the train's nickname was changed to "Ozora". By combining the basic and add-on sets, you can create various train compositions ranging from 5 to 8 cars, which have been seen in operation in recent years.
