Kato USA Model Train Products Intercity Express Phase VI, 4-Unit Set

This 4-car set models the shorter distance Intercity passenger cars of the northeast corridor, namely the Amfleet II and Viewliner sleeper. These cars feature Amtrak's current Phase VI paint scheme, which combines modern aesthetic simplicity with the traditional red, white, and blue stripes. Kato's smooth rolling trucks and award-winning performance locomotives, paired with modern sensibility, make these sets perfect for contemporary passenger modelers. The "Starter Series" set includes a single GE P42 locomotive in Amtrak's most modern paint scheme (Phase Vb #150) and three single-level passenger cars: Amfleet II Coaches #25101 and #25035, and Viewliner Sleeper #62004. Please note that track and transformer are not included. This is an Amtrak licensed product. The Amfleet cars are equipped with unique inside bearing trucks that replicate the prototype design, and all cars have all-wheel electrical pickup for easy installation of optional interior lights. The Phase Vb locomotive and VI cars accurately mimic Amtrak's most modern equipment.
