N ES44AC Freight Train Set, CPR

The ES (Evolution Series) locomotives, built by GE Transportation Systems, were designed to meet the U.S. EPA's Tier 2 locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005. These locomotives are equipped with AC traction motors and are powered by a newly designed "GEVO-12" 12 cylinder engine that produces the same power as the 16 cylinder AC4400CW, but with fewer emissions and greater fuel economy. The distinctive feature of these new locomotives is the redesigned air-to-air dual-fan heat exchanger, giving them an "oversized" radiator.

The 6-car freight assortment includes 2 Hoppers, 2 Gondolas, and 2 Tank Cars, along with an ES44AC Gevo Diesel Locomotive and a Mixed Freight Train Set with 6 Cars. Additionally, there is approximately a 3'x4' Oval of Track consisting of various Kato tracks, a road crossing/rerailer track, and crossing accessories. The set also includes a Kato Power Pack and a Rerailer/Uni-Joiner Remover.
